Caneros Del Este (LNB) inked 26-year old American 183cm point guard Manny Payton (college: FSU). Payton played most recently at Argentino in Argentinian La Liga. In 41 games he averaged 14.7ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.8apg last season.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Payton has played previously professionally in Chile (Catolica), Ireland (LYIT Donegal) and Ecuador (Piratas).
Among many awards he played in the final of ECAC New England Championship in 2016. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Honorable Mention in 2023.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
Payton graduated from Framingham State University in 2019 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. He played also for Anna Maria College for one year.
